Egg Carton Bee

With spring here, this is a great activity for kids to do, with little parental help. They can use the same technique for making other insects, if they don't like bees.

Materials:

• egg carton cups

• black and yellow paint

• 2 or more googly eyes

• red construction paper

• scissors

• glue

Instructions:

• Cut off one egg holder from its carton and paint it yellow.

• Next, use the black paint to make stripes and a face for the bee. Also, use the white pipe cleaner to create wings for the bee. You can use the black pipe cleaner to make a stinger for the back.

• Use glue to attach each piece to the egg carton you painted, and your bee is finished!
